Chamika Perera

Head — Finance Vertical

Chamika is a finance professional with over a decade of experience in financial accounting, audit, and corporate reporting. He began his career as an Audit Manager at KPMG, managing audits across diverse industries and multinational organisations, before heading the Corporate Affairs Unit of Hayleys PLC — one of Sri Lanka's largest diversified conglomerates — where he was responsible for consolidated financial reporting and regular engagement with the Board of Directors. He played a key role in preparing the Group's Annual Report and in the early adoption of the SLFRS S1 and S2 Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

He is an Associate Member of CA Sri Lanka and CIMA (UK), and holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a B.Sc. in Accounting (Special) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Leveraging this experience, he founded AlchemX to bring big-corporate rigour into practical, value-driven solutions that help start-ups and SMEs build strong foundations and scale with confidence.

Prashani Illangasekera

Head — ESG & Reporting Verticals

Prashani is a sustainability and corporate reporting professional with over 15 years of multi-industry experience across leading Sri Lankan corporates. She previously served as Head of ESG at one of Sri Lanka's largest diversified conglomerates, where she led the Group's ESG roadmap and advanced its sustainability and corporate reporting practices. She brings practical experience applying global reporting frameworks including the Integrated Reporting Framework, GRI Standards, SLFRS S1 and S2, and SASB Standards.

Prashani serves on the Sustainability Disclosure Standards Committee of CA Sri Lanka and is a member of the ACCA Global Forum for Corporate Reporting; she was also an editor of CA Sri Lanka's Preparers' Guide for SLFRS S1 and S2 and serves as a resource person for its Certified Sustainability Reporting & Strategy Advisor qualification.

She holds an MSc in Finance from the University of St Andrews, an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham, and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).
